Summary of Duties:

Reporting to the Coordinator, Communications, Research & Membership, performs various duties associated with the provision of tourist information to customers of Tourism Information Centres or via the mail, telephone or Internet, as well as providing administrative and event servicing supports within Tourism London

Work Performed:

  • Responsible for Tourism Counsellor duties at Tourism London Information Centres in servicing inquiries from visitors or via the telephone, Internet or by mail along with the stocking of display racks, setting up of presentation materials and displays and related activities, such as the sale of souvenirs, maps, etc.
  • Assists in the development of brochures produced by Tourism London.
  • Enters names of visitors seeking information on London into a database and processes individual tourism packages, along with data collection and related tasks.
  • Acts as a host on tours, including relaying of standard tour commentary, as required.
  • Provides servicing support to tournaments, meets, conferences and conventions, travel trade shows and other initiatives undertaken by Tourism London.
  • Performs office duties, such as addressing labels and envelopes, preparing mail-out material, keeping shelves supplied with brochures and other materials, as well as other manual and computer-based assignments.
  • Performs evening and weekend job related duties, as required.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Six months from Tourism and Travel Diploma.

Experience:

Three months’ related experience.

Specialized Training & Licenses:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets and various software.
  • Valid Driver’s License – Class G 

Compensation & Other Information:

$35,938 - $51,281

This posting is for 1 temporary full-time position from May - September 2025.

Current hours of Work: Shift work and weekends are required for this role. Schedules will vary and rotate between 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM and 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM.

Work Arrangement: On-site at Tourism London locations (696 Wellington Rd. or 391 Wellington St.). Subject to change in accordance with business requirements.

These hours of work are subject to change in accordance with the Collective Agreement and may include evening hours and Saturdays.

NOTE: Applicants may be required to complete a job related test.
