Summary of Duties:

Tourism London, the City of London’s destination marketing organization since 1996, collaborates to create and promote innovative experiences that make for lasting and unforgettable memories. Working with local and regional partners, Tourism London facilitates the development and marketing of London’s tourism and hospitality industry and economic well-being.
 

Reporting to the Director, Culture & Entertainment Tourism, the Summer Marketing Intern will have the opportunity to provide assistance to multiple departments within Tourism London including Meetings and Conventions, Sport Tourism and the London Music Office. This role will involve administrative duties, research projects, event support and data analysis with a focus on marketing and promotions.

Work Performed:

  • Assist in market research and reporting on industry marketing trends
  • Collaborate on marketing campaigns across multiple departments and assist with marketing strategy, key messages, media buying, content creation, promotion execution and campaign reporting
  • Assist in creation of web content including blogs and e-newsletters
  • Assist in creation of social media messaging and content for multiple channels including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn
  • Assist with event marketing (could be on site at various events)
  • Related administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Must be a current student enrolled in full-time studies returning to school full-time September 2025 and/or require this placement to graduate from an academic program.

Preference given to tourism, business, hospitality or marketing programs.

Specialized Training & Licenses:

  • Excellent communications skills, both oral and written
  • Attention to detail; proofreading proficiency
  • Proficiency in social media, digital platforms and specialty programs (ex. Crowdriff) an asset
  • Demonstrated knowledge of website, social media and marketing analytics tools

Compensation & Other Information:

$22.44/hour.

This posting is for one (1) temporary full-time up to 4 month student position (May - September 2025).

Current hours of Work: Monday - Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 

Work Arrangement: Hybrid.
