Work Performed:

Assistance is required with the inspections of the City of London’s sidewalk system.  The duties successful applicants will perform are the following, but not limited to:

  • Walking the entire sidewalk system within the City of London (1600 km).
  • The ability to identify trip hazards and deficiencies in the sidewalk system.
  • Enter data onto a PC tablet while on site.
  • Perform other inspections as required on walkways etc.

Successful candidates must be physically fit and be able to carry a laptop while walking for the entire work day.

Preference will be given to candidates with a ‘G’ License.

Qualifications:

Student must be enrolled in Civil Engineering Technology program or related field.

Student must be enrolled in a full-time academic program returning to full-time studies September 2025 and/or require this placement to graduate from an academic program.

Compensation & Other Information:

$22.44/hour.

This posting is for two (2) temporary full-time up to 4 month student positions (May - September 2025).

Current hours of Work: Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Work Arrangement: In office/on site.
