Summary of Duties:

Under the direction of the Senior Manager, Support Services and Business Operations or designate, performs scheduling and time and attendance systems clerical support to ensure the effective and timely delivery of services to Dearness Home’s residents.  The role will also support management in the documentation of current processes, data entry and system testing of proposed scheduling improvements as the Home prepares to migrate to the upgraded Kronos’ Time and attendance software.  

Work Performed:

  • Provides back up support for Scheduling Coordinator as required.
  • Assists management to effectively document processes, enter data, and test in connection with the following scheduling activities in preparation for the future upgrades and system improvements:
    • The Auditing, processing, preparation, and monitoring of staff replacement, staff scheduling and staff schedule change requests 
    • The Communication, preparation, and verification of reports/ queries for submission to payroll when needed.
    • The Review, updating, and maintenance of Kronos and other scheduling software data entry that ensures scheduling exceptions are completed in a timely manner. 
    • The Preparation of 24-hour staffing assignment sheets.
    • The tracking and preparation of monthly/weekly attendance reports for management and assistance with payroll inquires.
    • The Support for respective managers with special scheduling circumstances, the arrangement for students, and their assignment to preceptor in collaboration with the Director of Care. 
    • The Maintenance of system lists, text out lists, and Fan Out / Emergency Lists.
  • Maintains highly confidential information regarding staff. 
  • Performs other related clerical tasks as assigned.

Educational Qualifications:

A one-year certificate in Software and Information Systems Testing or equivalent area of study. 

A minimum of one year scheduling experience is an asset.

Compensation & Other Information:

Start: $22.77/hr
910 hrs: $25.05/hr
1820 hrs: $27.59/hr
4550hrs: $29.86/hr

This posting is for (1) full-time temporary position for up to 2 years. 

This position is located at the Dearness Home Long Term Care Facility.
