Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Manager II, Environmental Services or designate, sorts, loads, unloads and operates all machinery related to the washing and drying procedures.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Sorts clothing and linens according to category.
  • Loads, unloads, sorts where necessary and operates the equipment related to the washing and drying procedures.
  • Responsible for the care, cleanliness of both the equipment and the laundry room.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Grade 12 or equivalent education.

Ability to speak, write and understand English.

Basic knowledge of laundry procedures.

Ability to comprehend the operation and care of laundry equipment.

Must be in good physical health and capable of continuous heavy lifting.

Compensation and Other Information:

Start - $25.42 per hour
6 Months or 1040 hours - $25.71 per hour
1 Year or 2080 Hours - $26.66 per hour
