Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Laundry Supervisor or designate, folds, sorts, irons, presses and delivers clothing and linens to the appropriate areas. Assists in the sorting of soiled linen when directed.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Sorts soiled and clean linen and clothing by category.
  • Identifies damaged clothing or linens and directs it to the attention of the Laundry Supervisor.
  • Hangs or folds all knits and/or personals after washing and drying.
  • Folds, stacks and stores personal and non personal items.
  • Delivers linens and/or personals throughout the building.
  • Operates the press for personal and non personal items.
  • Cleans related equipment and various areas of the laundry room.
  • Marks and puts into service personal and non personal items using heat seal machine.
  • Delivers personal clothing and linens to the client and respective areas and rooms.
  • Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Laundry Supervisor.

Qualifications:

Grade 12 or equivalent education.

Ability to speak, write and understand English.

Ability to operate laundry equipment.

Compensation and Other Information:

Start - $24.94 per hour
6 Months or 1040 hours - $25.29 per hour
1 Year or 2080 Hours - $26.05 per hour

This posting is for 1 permanent casual position.
