Summary of Duties:

Reports to the Chemist.  Conducts analyses and interprets results of tests performed on waste water and related samples.

Work Performed:

  • Receives and collects samples and conducts analysis of waste water and related samples.
  • Follows specified laboratory practices.  Uses and maintains laboratory equipment as needed.
  • Occasionally provides back-up for Laboratory Technician (Outside)
  • Keeps records of activities and results and enters data into the Laboratory Information Management system.
  • Performs wet chemistry analysis in the laboratory.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

A two-year completion of a three year Community College Environmental Technology Diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

Over six months, up to and including one year.

Specialized Training & Licenses:

Skills and abilities in the following areas are necessary:
Valid Driver's Licence - Class G.

Compensation & Other Information:

$42,504 - $62,227 (Level 7)

This posting is for one (1) permanent full-time position.

 

Current hours of Work: Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. 

Work Arrangement: On-site. Subject to change in accordance with business requirements.

These hours of work are subject to change in accordance with the Collective Agreement and may include evening hours and Saturdays.
