Summary of Duties:

Reports to the Supervisor, Customer Service and works in conjunction with other divisional staff.  Performs duties of an administrative, customer service and clerical nature including processing and modifying registrations, bookings and memberships, and responding to inquiries.

Work Performed:

Provides frontline customer service contact to the public; provides a wide range of information about community programs; receives and responds to inquiries and redirects as required.

Processes and updates various City of London recreation memberships; accepts and processes program registration and processes various refunds.

Logs complaints/issues into the customer service database.

Processes contracts for the City of London recreation facilities such as baseball diamonds, soccer fields, arenas, community centres, garden plots, pool rentals and other facilities.  Produces and sends correct billing and amendments for client contracts.

Receives, reviews and processes subsidy applications for recreation programs.

Assists with processing and selling of items such as bus passes, garbage tags, etc.

Responsible for daily individual balancing of registrations, facility bookings and admissions.  Completes documentation including a daily recap sheet, account balance, bank deposit and financial summary reports for submission to the Finance Division.

Receives, records and deposits revenues received from various sources.

Processes and distributes team internal and external mail.

Qualifications:

Six months from a Community College Office Administration Diploma or equivalent

Experience:

One year of related customer service experience.

Specialized Training & Licenses:

Skills and abilities in the following areas are necessary:

Demonstrated customer service skills including cash handling.

Demonstrated proficiency in data entry using various software systems

Typing speed required is 40 wpm

Compensation & Other Information:

$42,504 - $62,227 (Level 7)

This posting is for 1 temporary full-time up to 2 year position.

Current hours of Work: Monday - Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Work Arrangement: On-site. Subject to change in accordance with business requirements.

These hours of work are subject to change in accordance with the Collective Agreement and may include evening hours and Saturdays.

NOTE: Applicants may be required to complete a job related test.
